Delivery

Inevitably with such a large variety of items available things will occasionally become out of stock. Out of stock items will be noted on a backorder slip and an expected delivery date, this will be included with your paperwork. Items that are out of stock on a longer term basis will have that fact noted on the product page.

We use the Royal Mail or selected Courier Services to deliver the majority of consignments, the exception being in the UK for those consignments containing hazardous materials which have to be delivered by Courier. You can choose your method of delivery but please be aware of the impact of your choice. All consignments are sent subject to any terms and conditions imposed by Royal Mail. Any reference to compensation is the compensation from Royal Mail.

UK Delivery

Choice is available between Recorded Signed For and Special Delivery, both of these require a signature on receipt of the consignment. The choice in delivery is yours and relates to the compensation levels available, choosing Special Delivery DOES NOT gain any faster picking of the order by Palmer Metals.

Recorded Signed For; delivery is usually next day for first classs but cannot be guaranteed. The consignment can be followed using the Royal Mail track and trace application. The maximum compensation available under this service is £34 . Costs are based on the sales value and are as follows ( costs exclude Vat):

Special Delivery; delivery is guaranteed next day from time of despatch( see www.royalmail.com for exceptions). The consignment can be followed using the track and trace application. Compensation is included upto a value of £500 and can go up to a maximum of £2500. We may use a Courier Service as an alternative to the Royal Mail at our discretion. Costs are based on sales values and are as follows:

EU Delivery

Surface Mail; the most economical way to send consignments to Europe. Delivery is up to 2 weeks from date of posting. Compensation cover is only upto £34.

Air Mail; the aim is to deliver to Western European addresses within three working days of posting. Compensation cover is only upto £34.

US and New Zealand Delivery

Air Mail: the aim is to deliver within five working days of posting. The consignment cannot be tracked. Compensation cover is only upto £34.

Airsure:Airsure® can be up to one day faster than Airmail. The item will receive priority handling at home and overseas, and benefit from an online tracking facility so you can check your consignment's progress along the way.

Canada and Australia Delivery
